The Stunning Embroidery of Danielle Clough

As an art form, embroidery has been saddled with antiquated connotations and stereotypes. Photographer/designer Danielle Clough is actively changing such stereotypes with her brilliantly stitched masterpieces. Whether working on cloth, fences or tennis rackets, her dazzling designs have made waves in the worlds of art and fashion, thanks in large part to her tremendous sensibility for color, and an impressionist efficiency when it comes to rendering impeccable forms.

Danielle is very much inspired by nature - her prime subjects being plants, animals and human portraits prove to be far more expressive than one might expect from the rustic craft. Her work proves that any medium is simply a means to an end when one possesses the imagination and craft to execute their visions.
