Business Card Stocks

Card thickness and quality are by far some of the biggest contributing factors of business card greatness. This is why our cardstocks begin at 80# (pound) weight to ensure durability and resist defects. We also offer heavier stocks – 100#, 130# and 150#.

Thicker cards can be produced by layering stocks, a.k.a. Duplex Business Cards which can yield a 220# stock that carries weight in the hands and is resistant to bending or creasing.

Business Card Finishes

Our cards also come in a variety of finishes to suit all tastes.

  • Matte finish is a classic choice which highlights the stock’s texture.
  • Silk finish provides a medium sheen and protective properties for a more durable card.
  • Semi Gloss, and Gloss finishes add varying degrees of reflective varnish which protects the card and makes graphics appear clearer and more saturated

Foil Stamping

Our foil stamping process adds a premium metallic sheen to your business cards. It’s an eye-catching way to highlight a name, icon or logo that transforms even the simplest card design into a thing of value. While Pantone color matching is not available for this service, we do offer a variety of colors which can hopefully suit your preference, style or corporate brand. MORE INFO

Embossed cards feature a design raised above the surface of the stock, lending a subtle yet distinctive appeal to both the card and design. When used with other printing methods such as ink, foil, spot varnish etc it is often referred to as a “register emboss”. MORE INFO

Debossed cards feature a design pressed into the paper stock, creating a unique texture or relief which is distinct, yet still quite notable when you pass your fingers over it. A registered deboss can punch other inks specialties into the card as well. MORE INFO

Blind Emboss

Blind embossed cards use only the card stock and a raised surface to define form and design. The absence of ink or any other media highlights the paper’s texture and weight, with a 3D aesthetic that invites the touch. MORE INFO

Blind Deboss

Blind debossed cards use only the card stock and a design pressed into the surface to define form and design. It’s an ideal finishing method for logos, crests, monograms and just about any iconic design you can throw at it. MORE INFO

For maximum effect and texture, we recommend using a thicker stock (100# and up)

Letterpress cards deliver classic charm with one of printing’s most time-honored specialties. In the old days, metal blocks of typography were assembled together and used to apply ink and pressure to the card stock, creating a slight, yet notably tactile impression around the surface of the printed design.

Today’s digital technology allows us to utilize the same technique with modern tools, adding a touch of old world appeal and subtle authenticity to any name, monogram or brand. It’s a technique that will leave an indelible mark on any project, whether it’s cards, posters or book covers. It’s also one of the more cost-effective options, compared to foil stamping or embossing. MORE INFO

Also known as raised ink printing, this process utilizes a powdered resin dissolved into ink which is heat sensitive, making it expand slightly after being applied to the card and heated. This yields a design that is raised, glossy and richly textured, while maintaining the precision you’d expect from any printing ink, suitable for even the most challenging and intricate designs.

The end result is a surprisingly resilient treatment with a classic, tactile appeal. Far less costly than engraving or embossing, yet no less distinctive and durable, thermography cards make are a popular choice for business stationery, postcards and formal invitations. MORE INFO
