Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between your four peel-and-stick materials?
Ravello and Caviar are both textured and slip-resistant — Ravello has a canvas-like grain, Caviar is lightly stippled. Both work on floors, walls, and counters. Brilliant is high-gloss for murals and bold feature walls where color vibrancy matters. Classic is a smooth matte finish — the easiest to install and perfect for fine detail without the glare of a gloss surface. All four materials use repositionable adhesive.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. You need a felt squeegee and a utility knife. Peel the backing, position the panel, and smooth from the center out. The repositionable adhesive lets you lift and re-align before it sets. Most people complete a full room without professional help.
Will it damage my walls when removed?
Not if walls are properly prepared. On primed, fully cured paint (2–3 weeks minimum), it peels cleanly at a 180° angle with minimal residue. For stubborn spots, a hair dryer on low softens the adhesive without pulling paint.
How long does it last?
3–5 years under normal conditions. For permanent installations or extreme wear, our traditional unpasted wallcoverings are the better choice.
Is it waterproof?
Moisture-resistant, not waterproof. It handles splashes and wipes clean with a damp cloth — fine for kitchens and normal bathrooms. Avoid standing water or constant steam, and check seams periodically in high-humidity rooms.
Can it go on floors?
Ravello and Caviar are certified slip-resistant to ASTM/COF standards and handle light to moderate floor traffic — retail floors, lobbies, showrooms. At 13–15 mil thickness they hold up significantly better than standard thin films (2–6 mil).
Do you have fire-rating certifications for commercial projects?
Yes. All substrates are tested to NFPA 701. We supply certificates and lab reports for building inspectors. Ratings stay valid with proper installation and edge sealing.
Can I order samples first?
Yes. Material packs ($35) include multiple textures with generic artwork, delivered in 1–2 days. Press samples ($150–250) print your actual artwork on up to 3 materials at 18” × 24”, delivered in 3–4 days. Sample costs credit toward your order with a 50% deposit.
How do large murals work across multiple panels?
Maximum print width is 52 inches. Wider installations use numbered panels with 1-inch overlap zones — you trim the seam with a utility knife for a seamless finish. Every order includes an installation schematic showing exactly where each panel goes.
When should I use traditional wallpaper instead?
If the installation needs to last 10+ years, if you need premium textures like grasscloth or embossed finishes, or if the environment has extreme or fluctuating temperature and humidity. Peel-and-stick is the right call for rentals, temporary installs, and anything you expect to refresh or rebrand.
