We recently collaborated with The Drawing Center on a custom wallpaper printing and installation project. The SoHo-based gallery provided a photograph to be repeated in a grid-like pattern for its “Anxious Men” exhibit, featuring the work of artist Rashid Johnson. The photo carries significance to the artist, as it depicts his father in the year of his birth sitting cross-legged in a meditative pose. On its own the image is non-descript, however, the repetition of the photo throughout the gallery space lent a certain hypnotic rhythm to the exhibition’s backdrop.
