Paper Stock Selection

Letterhead paper stocks should be uncoated & safe to use with any office, home or personal printer. Uncoated paper is also great for handwritten letters as it is absorbant, which will keep the ink from smearing as you write.

There are various paper weights for different uses. Lighter weights are ideal for internal memos, multiple page documents and file copies. Medium weights work best for reports, legal documents and certificates. Heavier weights are often used for contracts, proposales, certificates and presentations.

alert TIP: For handwriting on uncoated paper, many inks have different absorbancy rates - it is best to let the ink saturate the page and dry before folding or mailing. Also, try not to have a heavy hand while writing.

What is a "second sheet" and why would I need it?
A second sheet letterhead is used when a letter takes up more than one page. The remaining pages only contain the signature and contact info while respecting the design and layout of the first page.

What is the minimum order for a custom letterhead?
Our minimum order is 250 letterhead per unique design (Although we recommend ordering 500 to avoid future press/setup print costs)
Can I see a digital proof before final production?
Yes, our pre-press department will provide two rounds of digital proofs for approval prior to final print.
Can you produce a press sample before printing all of my letterhead?
Yes, a press sample can be produced prior to final production and will be billed accordingly for set up/press time.
Will I receive credit towards my final invoice, if I approve a press sample?
A 50% credit for cost of the press proof will be applied towards the final project invoice.
What is the standard turnaround time?
Once final proofs are approved, standard production time is 3-5 business days.
Can I add custom or blank envelopes for my order?
Yes, we can offer blank envelopes. We also offer envelope printing services.
How can I pay for my letterhead?
We accept all major credit cards and company checks. Please note, a job ticket must be created and payment is required before we can start proofing/final production.
My order is a rush, is a 24-48 hour turnaround possible for custom letterhead printing?
Please contact us as soon as possible, so we can check with our production department. Please note, rush turnaround will be billed accordingly.
Can I schedule an appointment to review sample/paper stocks?
Yes, We can schedule an appointment for you in our Jersey City showroom/production facility.There you can review various printed samples, paper stocks, and consult with a production specialist.
